already chosen a Windows driver instead of the Microchip driver for this
device, you will have to preform a "clean" using the utility&nbsp; MPUsbClean.exe
found in the Utilities folder of the MPLAB IDE installation directory.
Follow the instructions in this utlity and then return here to install
the correct drivers.&nbsp;</font></font></font></li>

using an external USB HUB, make sure it has a power supply and is powered
or MPLAB PM3 will not work.&nbsp;</font></font></font></li>

time a new USB device is plugged into a Windows ME system, a small dialog
box will appear indicating that the system has found a new hardware device.
There may also be a dialog box that informs the user that a device data
base is being built or updated.&nbsp;</font></font></font>
<p><font face="timesroman"><font color="#000000"><font size=-1>After these
dialogs appear, the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box (shown at the right)
is displayed. Select "Specify the location of the driver..." and then click
"Next".</font></font></font></td>

may fail to find or recognize the INF file. You will be warned if this

Files dialog, enter or browse to C:\Program Files\Microchip\MPLAB IDE\ICD2\Drivers.
Once this directory is selected, click "OK" and continue with the install.</font></font></font></td>
